Mission Statement: The Great Barr & Hamstead Children’s Centre is a community programme with the aim of supporting families with young children (aged from birth to five) within the area. We are an inclusive centre and are fully committed to offering a wide range of quality services for young children and their families. It is very important to note that the Children’s Centre is for all families with young children within the Great Barr & Hamstead region and not just for those who attend the nursery or the school.
Aims: At the heart of Children’s Centres is the intention to offer the following the services:
What support will be offered? The aim is to offer flexible and easy accessible services to families based on what you feel you need to maximise opportunities for your children and give them the best possible start in life. In November 2006 we completed a questionnaire for parents/carers to try to determine what types of support were being requested. Based on the findings of the questionnaire and with the experience from other Children’s Centres in Sandwell, we will aim to offer a wide and varied selection of services. See the Services page to find out more. |
